Maintenance Artisans (Millwright / Fitter & Turner)

Requirements

• Matric
  / NQF Level 4.
  
• Qualified Millwright or Fitter & Turner (Trade Test / Red Seal).
  
• Minimum
  of 3-5 years' post-trade maintenance experience within a
  manufacturing or production environment.
  
• Previous
  experience in the food packaging or FMCG manufacturing industry will be advantageous.
  
• Own
  reliable transport is essential.
  
• Must
  be willing to work a rotating shift system (day and night shifts) and participate in a standby roster.
  

Technical Competencies

For all applicants:

• Strong
  mechanical aptitude with excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  
• Experience
  maintaining production machinery in a fast-paced, high-volume
  manufacturing environment.
  
• Experience
  with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  
• Ability
  to read technical drawings and carry out repairs to a high standard.
  
• Confident
  using maintenance tools and workshop equipment.
  
• High
  attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  

Additional competencies for Millwrights:

• Sound
  electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting experience.
  
• Working
  knowledge of PLCs, VSDs and industrial control systems.
  
• Experience
  maintaining both electrical and mechanical production equipment.
