Job Description - Maintenance Coordinator Engineering

About this post


In this role you'll be responsible for oversight, engineering projects and giving support to AMP & reliability programs.



Key Responsibilities



  • Exercise oversight over the tasks performed by the AMO, Modifications and Approved maintenance programs.

  • Continuously monitor the Engineering projects, maintenance programs, components and initiate corrective action when required.

  • Monitor information from regulatory bodies, Type Certificate and OEMs with regards to required modifications.

  • Organize and control modifications, projects and AMP of the fleet.

  • Carry out all tasks and responsibilities in accordance with company established standards and procedures.

  • Identify and report any hazards, safety and security issues, mismatches in company procedures and deviations from company procedures using company established reporting system.

  • Provide expert support to AMO, Procurement, CAMO, Maintenance Coordinator Components and to MCC with regards to mechanical and avionics components.

  • Cooperate with AMO,MCC and CAMO with regards to all corrective actions regarding mechanical equipment, avionics equipment and reliability data for statistics.

  • Monitor applicable regulatory bodies requirements and ensure compliance, safety and airworthiness within deadlines.

  • Report on and Monitor SB’s, OEM and STC’s revisions documentation, modification status listings and other documents in respect of required modifications.

  • Establish and keep current modifications files for each aircraft of the fleet and inform the Manager Engineering promptly with regards to any changes to the modification list of each aircraft to aid the development and implementation of the AMP and MEL.

  • Organize and control in cooperation with CAMO, the implementation of all modifications, inspections and approved maintenance programs.



Requirements


Education:



  • A diploma in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field)


or



  • B1 or B2 (AME) license in aviation, especially for those transitioning from a maintenance role


 or



  • Being an appointed Engineering Analyst in aviation with a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience.



Experience:



  • Prior experience in aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting as a licensed engineer with four (4) years minimum.

  • An Engineering Analyst with mechanical or avionics background.



Regulatory Knowledge:



  • A strong understanding of strong Regulatory framework, Aviation Safety, such as SACAA CATS and CAR, EASA Part-M, Part-CAMO, and Part-145 will be advantageous.



Skills:



  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in aircraft maintenance procedures, technical records, and aircraft reliability data analysis.

  • Familiarity with aircraft maintenance tracking systems (e.g. SAM, AMOS but not limited to)

  • Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders and ensure compliance with safety management systems.

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in collaboration with others.

  • Strong conflict resolution skills, ability to resolve difficult interactions.

  • Ability to give feedback in a constructive manner.

  • Strong sense of integrity and work ethic

  • Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • An awareness of Health and Safety rules and regulations.

  • National Senior Certificate

  • Intercultural competence.

  • Valid driving license.

  • South African citizen
