MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To manage and implement the operational strategy of ER24 at a branch level that ensure aims and objectives are met


KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Oversee and manage the daily operational requirements of the site


Manage site financials


Oversee the Human Resources of the site


Manage the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) of the site


Support ER24 via branch-specific marketing initiatives

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Senior Certificate with University Entrance
ILS Certification


DESIRED EDUCATION: ALS Certification National Diploma in Business Management

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:  3 years operational experience; 2 years supervisory experience


DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 3-5  years operational experience, 2 -3  years management experience


REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Site based EMS environment
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of all EMS qualifications with the HPCSA framework
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the healthcare industry
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of all functions and processes within a private hospital environment, and how disciplines interact with each other
  • Applies sound budgeting and financial planning/management principles
  • Demonstrates understanding and correct application of business metrics, governance, and risk management
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of contract and service level agreement (SLA) management
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of Funders of Healthcare
  • Demonstrates a good understanding and application of all relevant legislative regulations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Industrial Relations procedures and processes
  • Demonstrate sound competence in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate ability in FMS (Fleet Management System), Statistics Portal, CRS
