Job Description - Manager- Projects and Tenders

EDUCATION:                           Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field

EXPERIENCE:                         Minimum 5 years in project management within the pump and valve industry or related   

                                                  mechanical equipment sector

                                                  Proven track record in sales and client relationship management

REQUIREMENTS:                   Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) and English

                                                 Strong understanding of pump and valve systems, specifications, and applications

                                                 Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation

                                                 Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies

                                                 Strong organizational and time-management skills

                                                 Excellent communication and negotiation skills

                                                 Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously

                                                 Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES: PMP or equivalent project management certification

                                                Mechanical Engineer with minimum 5 years managerial experience across market areas

                                                Experience working with Chinese suppliers and manufacturers

                                                Familiarity with international trade regulations and logistics

                                                Ability to read ,write and speak mandarin

                                                Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

                                               Computer Literacy; (Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook, as well  

                                               as SAP)                                                 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee pump and valve sales projects from initiation to completion. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and quality standards. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Chinese-speaking clients and suppliers. 
  • Prepare project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress and adjust as necessary. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and client requirements. 
  • Provide technical support and guidance on pump and valve products. 
  • Identify opportunities for business growth within Chinese clientele projects.  
  • Handle documentation, reporting, and communication in both English and Chinese. 
  • Assist fellow employees with daily calibration functions as and when required.

Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time.
