Mandarin Speaking Financial Accountant

Were searching for a talented and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. If you are fluent in Mandarin and have a strong foundation in financial reporting, analysis, and accounting principles, this opportunity is for you!

As the Financial Accountant for the APAC region, youll oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements, and deliver accurate financial reporting. Your expertise will be key in supporting the company's strategic goals while managing the unique financial complexities of the APAC market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage financial operations for the APAC region.
• Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with statutory and company guidelines.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, reporting standards, and corporate policies.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate financial audits.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow for the APAC region.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial practices and objectives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

Your Profile:

Qualifications:

• Newly Qualified - ACCA, CIMA, ACA or Equivalent

• Ability to understand mandarin

• Outstanding analytical and mathematical skills
• Deliver to tight deadlines, for example, month end closures.
• Respect confidentiality that comes with responsibility.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Self-motivation, excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• An analytical mind, a keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
• Experience in a hospitality/travel industry is preferred.
• Previous experience in handling accounting and reporting within APAC.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (Previously Navision) is highly beneficial.

Location

We are ideally seeking exceptional candidates to be based in Cape Town who are able to commute to the office at least 2 days a week.
