In this role you will be responsible to:
- Ensure the right implementation of a multidimensional food safety program and ensure regulatory and product compliance in ESAR.
- Ensure market regulatory compliance and drive its improvement.
- Drive consumer and customer satisfaction and improvement projects in factory.
- Establish, maintain, and optimize Chemical contaminant Monitoring System in ESAR.
- Animate the Compliance Specialist network in ESAR and develop its competency, conduct training & coaching sessions as well as gap assessments.
- Target Zero compliance incident in the market using proactive approach. Support local crisis management team for food safety related issues.
- Provide specific support on food safety areas during Innovation and renovation projects.
A day in the life of a Market Compliance Specialist:
People and know-how:
- Promote Food Safety & Compliance awareness across whole ESAR. Contribute to competence development of Compliance and Food Safety Managers across ESAR. Develop Quality Specialists.
Quality mastership:
- Demonstrating the compliance status by factory and consolidation at market level.
- Implementation and management of market compliance KPIs in line with GI requirements for Parameter and Product Compliance status.
- Regular review of factory monitoring plans against all requirements for finished products, raw Material & packaging materials.
- Facilitate the preparation and updating of monitoring plans between factory QM, Regulatory Affairs for validation with NQAC and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring that monitoring schemes are implemented in the factories.
- Performing regular gap assessment for all products (categories) for regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Guidance in root cause analysis and challenge corrective action planning to correct non-compliances.
- Proposing corrective actions to factory quality assurance and applications groups.
- Keep overview on compliance requirement changes (e.g. new directives) and their communication to factories.
- Developing compliance tools and resources to facilitate the compliance assessment process (e.g. maintenance of the compliance team room) for: Finished products, Raw Material & Packaging materials.
- Provide guidance to factories on application of statistical tools (e.g. SPC, QStat) and support for ongoing projects and their initial definition.
- Overseeing Quality requirements for IMS briefs.
Support Tender process:
- Technical document preparations, sending of the samples for analysis, COAs generation, confirmation of compliance, Liaison with import markets for ISO certification documentation.
- Generation of COAs for external customers.
- Attending to specific customer and market-customer queries and requirements.
- Trending, analysis, for consumer feedback and reporting of imported product consumer complaints at a market level and escalation of potential issues to producing factories.
- Management of the ENGEGE tool (admin, training, and reporting)
- Coordination of defect reduction projects based on market objective. Project initiation and follow through with factories for reduction of product defects to reduce Consumer Complaints.
- Training and development of factory consumer complaint and sensory pillars to ensure competent individuals are available at all sites to perform sensory assessments and execute improvement projects for defects.
- MRQ preparation and improvement plan implementation –Covers MRQ document as well as COQM and zone MRQ.
Quality auditing and verification:
- Verify that Nestlé Food Safety Management System is in place in ESAR in each factory, licensee, and co-packer. Ensure in case of deviation, root cause analysis, correction, and knowledge sharing.
Technical Assistance:
- Provide assistance to Quality Assurance Managers, Food Safety Managers, Hygienists, Quality Specialists, and their factories in ESAR.
What will make you successful?
- Degree in Food Science or equivalent in Microbiologist or Chemical
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in Quality Management or Application Group or other quality leadership role in a multi-Products Factory
- Experience in successfully implementing quality assurance programs (preferably Food Safety Management Systems):
- Leading part of a change effort
- Participating in audit/project teams and/or improvement projects with more senior staff members
- Establishing networks of peers, in markets or factory
