Job Description - Marketing Coordinator

Job Purpose

As a
Marketing Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and
executing marketing campaigns and events for the Company.


Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible
    for Marketing planning and execution of marketing for various Brands/Vendors. 
     
  • Create
    and execute GTM action plans for Brands.

  • Responsible
    for full and comprehensive coordination, organizing, and planning of events,
    following through with execution to ensure events run smoothly and
    professionally as required.
     
  • Execute
    on all vendor marketing activities, including sales -driven initiatives, demand
    generation, events, incentives, digital campaigns, floor days, etc.

  • Identify
    and execute improvements for processes, content, and lead generation.

  • Drive
    and support sales for brands – including content building and reseller
    enablement messaging.

  • Drive
    and implement targeted marketing campaigns and re -marketing that result in ROI.

  • Conduct
    Market Research, analysing results and sell -out reports.

  • Complete
    Vendor claims administration and Proof of Execution reporting.

  • Complete
    various departmental tasks for marketing of the company both externally and
    internally.

  • Load
    purchase orders on Sage and ensure accurate invoices of vendors/suppliers.

  • Record
    and publish meeting minutes.

  • Create
    and review PowerPoint presentations and write proposals.
     


Requirements


Experience and Knowledge
  • 3
    years of proven experience in a Marketing role and execution of marketing plans

  • A
    minimum of 2 years of working experience in traditional and digital marketing,
    content marketing, and social media marketing

  • A
    minimum 3 years of experience planning and organizing corporate marketing
    events
     
  • Supplier
    management experience including working with suppliers, negotiating and
    sourcing quotes

  • Experience
    preparing professional written communication and PowerPoint presentations
     
  • Experience
    conducting marketing research and using data analytics to understand
    effectiveness and campaign success/measures

  • Solid
    knowledge of the workings of a variety of Social Media Platforms

  • Experience
    using vendor portals for marketing plan submission and claiming will be an
    advantage
     
  • Marketing
    experience within the IT industry and an understanding of the Brands/Vendors
    associated with Pinnacle will be an advantage


Skills and Education
  • Matric
  • Bachelor’s
    degree in Marketing is preferred

  • Proficient
    in the Microsoft Office suite, including excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Skilled
    at using a variety of Social Media Platforms.

  • Ability
    to complete basic calculations, work with numbers, and create budgets.

  • Developed negotiation skills.
  • Excellent
    written and verbal business communication skills (detail orientated no grammar
    or spelling issues).

  • Good
    customer management skills

  • Excellent
    event co -ordination skills – understanding a brief, planning, organizing,
    scheduling and budget management
     

  • Travel will be required
  • Must be willing to work overtime and to
    attend events both early in the morning and into the evening when required
