Job Description - Marketing Manager

We are looking for a dynamic, flexible and focused individual who is excited to test new ideas and refine activities to build a trusted brand in the finance industry in SA.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an effective marketing strategy
  • Maintain a strategy and marketing spend that weighs up the immediate need for acquiring customers and the long-term need for building the brand;
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer acquisition funnel and propose activities to improve appropriately;
  • Drive new customer acquisition and reactivation of dormant customers with Sales operation;
  • Develop sensible, scoped and measurable campaigns from the strategy to incrementally move the business forward;
  • Monitor outcomes of the strategy or particular campaigns, propose refinement, and create and present periodic reports to the executive;
  • Continuously assess customer needs and propose solutions to better fulfill those needs;
  • Deeply understand the customer journey and propose refinement;
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of Customer Service efforts;
  • Conduct periodic market research and analysis to evaluate trends, understand brand awareness, and gauge competitor operations;
  • Maintain relationships with marketing partners and ensure ongoing effectiveness of spend and alignment with business strategy;
  • Write copy for diverse marketing distributions;
  • Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or related field;
  • At least 7 years experience in similar marketing role;
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns to engage, inform and motivate audience;
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels;
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments;
  • Strong knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends);
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas);
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns;
  • Proficiency in Google Documents and Sheets;
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal;
  • Strong capability to organize and deliver impact;
  • Creative, numerical and analytical;
  • Humble yet ambitious.
