The Position:
As a Marketing Projects Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and project managing the marketing initiatives, projects and campaigns under the guidance of the Marketing Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to kickstart their career in marketing and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
In addition, he or she will work closely with cross- functional teams to drive all marketing projects the ongoing success of the programmes and the schools.
This is a Cape Town-based appointment, and the employee will work in terms of our remote work policy that allows for a flexible remote working relationship with the business that supports and encourages a mixture of work from home and collaborative work at the Milpark office in Observatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the implementation of a Go-to-Market plan: input in the development of the go-to-market plan for the school, programme launches, sales cycles and major updates. Coordinate with the internal and external partners and teams to ensure alignment on timelines and objectives.
Be part of the execution of marketing plans across various channels, including digital, social media, content marketing and events (including webinars) and then monitor the campaign and report the results.
Campaign Execution:
- Assist in the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of marketing materials.
Content Creation:
- Collaborate with the content team and business stakeholders to collect information for create engaging and compelling marketing content for both online and offline channels.
- Contribute to the development of marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and promotional materials.
Digital Marketing:
- Support the implementation of email campaigns, and website content updates including the management of the SEO strategy
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital marketing efforts for monthly school meetings
Event Coordination:
- Assist in the planning and execution of webinars, events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Coordinate logistics, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the seamless execution of events.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports on webinars and provide insights to optimize future initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to marketing activities.
Education & experience requirements:
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in marketing or equivalent, business or a related field. (NQF level 6 minimum)
- 2 to 3 years’ experience as a project management resource with reference to Higher Education being beneficial.
- Strong project management skills – must work well under pressure and ability to manage multiple projects successfully
- Basic understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics.
- Business mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw insights.
- Knowledge of the Online Education Sectors and the market trends related to the set of programmes offered by Milpark.
- Be thoroughly skilled in diverse messaging including social media, PowerPoint presentations, video scripts, website content, to competently recommend best means to communicate targeted messages to specific audiences.
- Online event management experience with knowledge of Crowdcast an advantage
- Proficient in the use of Canva as a design platform with a keen eye for good graphic design.
Knowledge requirements:
- Be skilled in diverse messaging including social media, PowerPoint presentations, video scripts, webinar platforms, website content, to competently recommend best means to communicate targeted messages to specific audiences.
- Project Management experience, with experience in managing multiple marketing projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
