Master Data and Pricing Analyst

The Master Data & Pricing Analyst owns the accuracy, governance and maintenance of customer, supplier, item and pricing master data across Syspro and related business systems. The role ensures that all master data changes are properly authorised, accurately processed, auditable and maintained in accordance with company policies and internal controls.

The role serves as the custodian of pricing and master data integrity, ensuring the right customer, supplier, product and price exist in the right system at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Master Data Management

• Create, maintain and deactivate customer, supplier and item master records.
  
• Maintain buying groups, customer hierarchies, supplier relationships and rebate structures.
  
• Ensure all master data requests are supported by approved documentation and appropriate authorisation.
  
• Perform regular reviews to identify duplicate, inactive or inaccurate records.
  
• Maintain master data standards, coding structures and naming conventions.
  

2. Pricing Administration & Governance

• Prepare, validate and load pricing files into Syspro.
  
• Maintain trade, retail, promotional and rebate pricing structures.
  
• Validate all pricing changes before upload.
  
• Ensure promotional pricing is activated and expired according to approved dates.
  
• Monitor pricing exceptions and escalate discrepancies.
  

3. Data Quality & Controls

• Maintain audit trails for all master data and pricing changes.
  
• Monitor data accuracy and completeness across systems.
  
• Perform routine reconciliations between source data and system records.
  
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues.
  

4. Supplier & Customer Information Controls

• Manage customer account setup and maintenance.
  
• Manage supplier onboarding and maintenance.
  
• Verify banking detail changes in accordance with company fraud -prevention procedures.
  
• Maintain supporting documentation for all sensitive master data changes.
  
• Escalate suspicious or unusual requests immediately.
  

5. Reporting & Monitoring

• Produce regular reports on data quality, pricing exceptions and master data changes.
  
• Track service levels for master data requests.
  
• Support rebate reconciliations, supplier reporting and pricing analysis.
  

6. Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve master data and pricing processes.
  
• Assist with the documentation of procedures and controls.
  
• Work with IT and external vendors to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  

Requirements

Must -Have

• 3+ years' experience in ERP master data administration, pricing administration or business systems support.
  
• Experience with Syspro or similar ERP systems.
  
• Advanced Excel skills.
  
• Strong attention to detail and process discipline.
  
• Understanding of internal controls and data governance.
  
• Experience maintaining customer, supplier and item master data.
  

Nice -to -Have

• SQL knowledge.
  
• FMCG, wholesale or retail experience.
  
• Exposure to pricing management.
  
• Power BI reporting experience.
