Job Description - Microsoft Team Lead

Our
client, a leading public higher education institution, is seeking a
Microsoft Team Lead that will report to the Director of Infrastructure
& Operations within the ICS Department, overseeing a team of IT
professionals managing Microsoft applications, server infrastructure,
and cloud-based solutions. The role ensures a secure, efficient, and
high-performing IT environment.

• Lead and manage the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft
infrastructure.
• Oversee on-premises and cloud-based systems, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement security and compliance measures.
• Mentor and support team members while driving innovation in Microsoft technologie

Requirements

• Degree (NQF 7) in IT or related field, with 3–5 years of experience.
• Microsoft Certifications (Azure, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, etc.).
• 2–3 years in a middle management IT role, leading technical teams.
• Proficiency in Active Directory, Entra ID, and virtualization technologies (Hyper-V,
VMware)
