About Our Client
My client is an ambitious start-up operating at the intersection of law and technology, based in Pretoria. With a close-knit team of around 12 professionals,  a mix of legal experts and technical specialists,  they're developing cutting-edge solutions to support the legal industry.

Currently in an exciting growth phase, the business is transitioning from using external development consultants to building an in-house tech team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on the product and business direction, with a clear growth path into a Head of Development role.

The Role: .Net Developer
This is a foundational technical role, responsible for driving the design and development of internal platforms and tools. You'll work closely with the founders and legal teams to turn requirements into robust software solutions, contributing directly to the platform's architecture and long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET Core and related technologies

• Collaborate with legal and technical team members to define software requirements
• Build and enhance internal systems using PowerApps and Blazor

• Manage database development and optimisation using PostgreSQL

• Drive code quality through reviews, testing, and continuous improvement practices
• Take ownership of development processes to scale the function

• Provide technical input on product and business decisions

• Support the eventual onboarding and mentorship of junior developers as the team grows

About You

• 3+ years of experience in .NET development, with strong backend and frontend exposure

• Proficient in .NET Core, Blazor, PowerApps, and PostgreSQL

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, scalable code

• Confident communicator who thrives in collaborative settings

• Ambitious and ready to grow into a leadership role

• Ideally available to work from the Pretoria office 2-3 days per week (flexibility considered)
