Job purpose:  

Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to generate new business across Johannesburg and greater Gauteng. The company manufactures commercial furniture and workspace solutions for offices and commercial interiors. This hunter-focused role involves cold calling, proactive prospecting and building relationships with designers, architects, space planners, dealers, resellers and commercial fit-out companies.

Responsibilities:

• Generate new business through cold calling, prospecting, networking and referrals.


• Build relationships with designers, architects, specifiers, dealers, resellers and fit-out companies.


• Identify commercial projects, secure client meetings and grow the sales pipeline.


• Work with internal teams to recommend suitable furniture and workspace solutions.


• Follow up on quotations, secure repeat business and maintain accurate sales records.

Qualifications and experience:

• Proven B2B sales experience with a strong new business track record.


• Confident in cold calling, presenting and negotiating.


• Valid driver’s license and  own reliable vehicle and willingness to travel across Gauteng
