Workshop Manager

Job Purpose:

An opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Manager responsible for the repair of plant, machinery, and equipment, as well as quality control. The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing all staff within the Workshop

Responsibilities:

• Manage the workshop Team


• Develop and maintain a sound relationship with operations staff and suppliers


• Manage the fleet maintenance programme


• Manage maintenance costs inbudgeted cost


• Manage stores stock levels and the purchase of replacement parts and equipment


• Working knowledge of maintaining a haulage fleet comprising of truck, trailer and loading equipment.


• Manage tyre cost in budgeted cost.

Qualifications & experience:

• Diesel Mechanic Trade Test


• Minimum of 5 years experience in a managerial role


• Must have knowledge and experience with Earth Moving / Yellow Equipment


• Must be able to communicate with all levels of employees


• Deadline orientated


• Excellent planning and organisational skills
