What you will be doing:

• Take full ownership of the management, performance, and strategic direction of the Tax Department


• Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop the tax team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and professional growth


• Manage departmental workflow, resource allocation, deadlines, and client deliverables


• Stay actively involved in day-to-day tax compliance, including preparation, review, and submission of returns across all tax types


• Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices and raising professional standards

What we are looking for:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field


• Registered Tax Practitioner


• SAIT membership or another recognised professional tax accreditation


• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience


• At least 5 years' management or supervisory experience


• Proven track record managing client tax portfolios and compliance processes


• Strong understanding of corporate tax compliance requirements


• Excellent knowledge of South African tax legislation and compliance requirements


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities


• High attention to detail and accuracy


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines


• Strong leadership and people management skills


• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities


• Ability to work independently while effectively leading a team
