Nursing Operations Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Direct and manage nursing operational projects and nursing processes, advocate for nursing, and represent nursing on relevant forums.  Influence and lead nursing governance, process improvement, service transformation and change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Provide input, lead and support the implementation of relevant goals within the nursing strategy 


• Ensure nursing governance and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements


• Provide operational support to nursing services 


• Take ownership of nursing processes and ensure inter-departmental collaboration


• Lead nursing projects and provide subject matter expertise pertaining to other corporate projects


• Build and maintain mutual beneficial relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders


• Lead and manage people

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

• Degree/Diploma with a Health Service Management /Nursing Administration or management qualification

DESIRED EDUCATION

• Nursing education, Specialised clinical nursing qualification, Master’s degree

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• Five years’ experience in a Senior Nursing management or a leadership position within a level 3-4 hospital or a tertiary hospital.

• Nursing education, Quality improvement, Patient safety, and Project management
