Officer: Financial

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial administration across Mediclinic Diagnostic Imaging Services by maintaining sound financial controls, processing payments and journals, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting and decision-making. The role safeguards financial integrity through effective management of cash, vendor transactions, and general ledger activities, contributing to operational efficiency and adherence to Mediclinic’s financial governance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Monitor financial control in the practices and department


• Manage the petty cash for the departments


• Preparation of vendor payments and journals


• General ledger reconciliations, including bank, provisions, external debtors ledgers and reporting


• Adhoc task

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: 

• Grade 12 with accounting and/or 3-5 years relevant experience  

DESIRED EDUCATION: 

•  Certificate or Diploma in Management Accounting / Accounting or relevant Financial / Business  Certificate or Diploma

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 

• 3-5 years’ work experience in a financial environment

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Relevant experience within a healthcare environment
