Job Description - Operational Stock Controller

OPERATIONAL STOCK CONTROLLER | PRIVATE GAME RESERVE | SABI SANDS

Salary: Negotiable (DOE)

Live-In Position

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Operational Stock Controller to join a prestigious private game reserve located in the Sabi Sands. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven inventory professional to take ownership of stock control systems within a luxury hospitality environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

â¢ Report directly to the Finance Administrator

â¢ Manage and control stock count processes and procedures across various inventories

â¢ Capture inventory data and stock counts accurately onto the system

â¢ Conduct regular spot checks, weekly stock takes, and monitor stock rotation (including fridge management and stock levels)

â¢ Investigate and report variances in stock

â¢ Oversee stock issues across various operational areas

â¢ Manage purchasing orders for equipment, services, and supplies

â¢ Place orders based on par stock levels and identified requirements

â¢ Verify deliveries and ensure purchase orders are complete and accurate

â¢ Prevent overstocking and unnecessary ordering

â¢ Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking

â¢ Track all incoming deliveries and ensure proper receipt

â¢ Compile accurate reports on stock and supply balances

â¢ Audit stock holding areas to ensure compliance with procedures

â¢ Actively support and uphold the reserveâs conservation ethos and operational standards

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

â¢ Minimum 2 yearsâ experience in a stock controller, receiver, or similar role

â¢ High school qualification required; tertiary qualification in business or related field advantageous

â¢ Strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite â Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Advanced Excel)

â¢ Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

â¢ Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

â¢ Ability to analyse data and implement improved processes

â¢ Good interpersonal skills and ability to work across all levels of staff and management

â¢ Physically fit with good stamina and flexibility

â¢ Valid driverâs licence essential
