Operations Coordinator - Citrus / Agriculture

• Act as the link between
  Logistics, packhouses and cold store facilities to ensure an efficient
  operational service
  
• Liaise with the 3rd-party
  logistics and documents team, ensuring all information and documents are
  received within the designated time frame
  
• Deal with operational issues
  that arise during loadout allocations
  
• Formalise
  stock allocations into loading instructions and communicate them to the
  logistics team
  
• Liaise
  between suppliers, forwarders and agents to obtain up-to-date shipment
  information
  
• Monitor
  vessel ETD, ATD, ETA and ATA, and follow up each week on whether the previous
  week’s shipment plan was executed
  
• Ensure
  customers and the Commercial team are fully informed of shipment progress
  
• Provide
  support to the Commercial team based in different origins
  
• Assist with
  the smooth operation and communication of administrative processes with other
  stakeholders
  
• Review and
  sign off logistics costs from various service providers across the export chain
  

Requirements

• Grade
  12
  
• Bachelor’s
  degree
  
• Minimum
  of 1–3 years’ demonstrable experience in shipping
  environment, preferably gained in the citrus industry
  
• Highly
  proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, data analysis,
  formulas)
  
• Understanding
  of costings and basic logistical procedures will be advantageous
  
• Export
  knowledge will be advantageous
  
• Stock
  management experience will be advantageous
  
• Valid
  drivers licence and own transport
