Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Graduate looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career with a Company, at the forefront of the TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) industry, operating within the metals, minerals and solid fuel sectors to join the team in Durban. 

Fixed Term 18 months programme: We'll equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to thrive in our industry, through

Rotations: Experience all facets of our operations, from sampling and inspection techniques to data analysis and report writing.

On-the-job training: Learn from seasoned professionals and industry experts.

Formal training: Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to deepen your knowledge in specific areas.

Mentorship: Receive personalized guidance and support from dedicated mentors.

Exposure to diverse projects: Work on a variety of exciting projects across different mining and mineral processing operations, gaining a broad understanding of industry best practices.

Based in Durban, the role is an 18 months development programme. During which you will spend time learning about AHK, working within, and gaining an understanding of our Global Operations. You may also experience travel to a variety of our entities across Africa, depending on your role. This experience, coupled with your drive, will open up further opportunities in the Group. Other candidates that have followed a similar programme have taken up technical, operational and management roles both in the UK and overseas.

Required Qualifications

• B-Tech/BSc degree with a major in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Geology or operations management.

Required work experience

• A minimum of 2 years of work experience in the mining, laboratory. 

Travel Requirements 

• During the Fixed Term 18-months programme - you will live in three different countries across the Africa region. You will be expected to travel both domestically and internationally.

• Must have a valid passport and ability to obtain visas as necessary.

Required Languages

• English (Fluently write & speak)
