Job Description - Paid Media Manager (Google & YouTube)
About Keen:
At Keen, we don't just deliver services — we embed ourselves into the heart of our clients' businesses. From digital marketing and creative to customer experience, we craft bold, high-performance digital experiences for global brands. Keen helps some of the most exciting U.S. and international brands scale smarter by embedding expert teams that drive results across marketing, creative, customer experience, and sales. We're not a legacy agency. We're a partner in growth — and that's where you come in.
About the Role:
We’re hiring a Paid Media Manager – YouTube & Google to lead paid acquisition across the entire Google ecosystem; including Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, and Display.
You’ll own end-to-end campaign strategy, creative testing, budget management, and performance optimization. This is a hands-on role for a data-driven marketer who thrives on scaling efficiently, experimenting constantly, and turning insights into growth.
You’ll work closely with creative, CRO, and analytics teams to refine messaging, landing pages, and audience targeting — driving measurable impact across every stage of the funnel.
What You’ll Do
Own and optimize all Google channels — Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, and Display — with a focus on profitable customer acquisition and incremental revenue growth.
Build and execute structured testing roadmaps for audiences, creative, copy, bidding strategies, and placements.
Manage campaign budgets and forecasts, allocating spend dynamically to maximize efficiency and scale proven winners.
Partner with creative, e-commerce, and analytics teams to brief new concepts, analyze results, and evolve strategy.
Monitor daily and weekly performance in Google Ads, YouTube Analytics, GA4, and Northbeam to identify trends and surface actionable insights.
Collaborate with CRO and landing-page teams to improve conversion and revenue per session through ad-to-site alignment.
Stay ahead of platform updates — testing new formats and opportunities (e.g., Demand Gen, PMax enhancements, YouTube Shopping).
Report clearly on performance, learnings, and next steps to stakeholders and leadership.
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of hands-on experience managing campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, Performance Max).
Strong understanding of DTC and e-commerce funnels with focus on CPA, ROAS, MER, and RPS metrics.
Deep expertise in audience segmentation, creative optimization, and bidding strategy.
Proficiency with analytics and attribution tools (GA4, Northbeam, Looker Studio, etc.).
Experience collaborating with creative teams and translating data insights into compelling ad messaging.
Excellent communication and project-management skills; able to align multiple teams and move quickly.
Self-starter mindset — comfortable owning a channel and driving measurable results.
Bonus: Experience with YouTube media buying and/or traditional TV extensions.
What’s In It for You
Competitive salary based on experience
Hybrid schedule — collaborative office-based in Woodstock, Cape Town
Collaborate with a fast-growing international brand and a globally-minded team
Autonomy to lead and innovate in your domain
Career growth opportunities in a fast-moving organization
Birthday leave + professional development budget
Join a team that values ownership, creativity, and results
