Job Description - PAYE Specialist

Key Responsibilities:*
Mastermind the seamless reconciliation and submission of EMP201 and EMP501 returns.
Navigate tax directive applications with precision, ensuring compliance is our forte.
Secure letters of good standing from SARS, affirming our status as tax titans.
Craft datasets for employment equity reporting, championing diversity and inclusion.
Lead the charge on coordinating data submissions for StatsSA, fueling the engine of statistical insights.
Ensure the payroll system dances to the right tune, accurately defining income and remuneration for COIDA, UIF, PAYE, and other deductions.
Validate the calculation of provisions and retirement benefit deductions meticulously, distinguishing between approved and unapproved funds like a seasoned maestro.
Strategically manage IT88/AA88 processes and deductions, orchestrating harmony in compliance with SARSs Agent Appointment and BCEA.
Navigate the labyrinth of taxes for independent contractors and expatriates with agility and expertise.
Offer sage guidance to the Payroll Services Team, illuminating the path through a maze of income tax implications and updates.
Tackle spontaneous queries related to employee tax consequences with the finesse of a tax wizard.
Collaborate on the implementation of payroll transactions with surgical precision and strategic foresight.
Innovate processes to proactively mitigate risks and elevate efficiency to an art form.
Conduct meticulous sample audits of payroll input, ensuring compliance with current tax legislation like a vigilant sentinel.
Demonstrate agility in recalculating tax accurately and promptly upon request, akin to a financial acrobat.
Identify and rectify discrepancies within the payroll system swiftly, safeguarding the sanctity of our data fortress.
Offer a helping hand to employees navigating the labyrinth of tax-related matters, building bridges of trust and compliance.

Qualifications:*
Matric Certificate with Mathematics and Accounting subjects.
BCom Accounting/Finance Degree.
Postgraduate qualification in Taxation is the cherry on top of this tax cake.
Job Requirements:*
A minimum of 5 years experience in the illustrious realm of payroll tax.
A fervent commitment to pursuing additional tertiary studies in payroll and tax (becoming a Registered Tax Practitioner with SARS is our badge of honour).
