MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To manage relevant remuneration and payroll systems and processes for Mediclinic Southern Africa (MCSA).

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS


  • Manage the payroll system processes for MCSA

  • Manage relevant remuneration processes for MCSA

  • Accept ownership and manage the Success Factors System

  • Coordinate relevant tax administration processes

  • Manage and control department budgets / finances

  • Initiate and manage relevant departmental projects

  • Lead and manage the people in the Payroll Operations Team

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Essential Education



  • Bachelors degree in relevant field (Financial / Commerce)


Desired Education



  • Post-graduate degree in financial field

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Essential Minimum Experience 



  • 7 - 10 years experience in a similar role; at least 5 years managerial experience


Desired Experience



  • Expierence in a payroll environment, within a large compliment of staff

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of the full monthly payroll process
  • Understanding of HR Finance and relevant HR systems
  • Knowledge of statutory and non-statutory payroll legislation
  • Computer literacy: Excel
  • Understanding of remuneration and employee benefits administration
  • Payroll systems administration and SuccessFactors system knowledge
  • Payroll governance, audit and risk management principles
  • Financial reconciliation and payroll control principles
  • Project management and continuous improvement capability
  • Leadership and people management capability
  • Stakeholder relationship management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of POPIA and payroll data confidentiality requirements
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
