Picker - Ecommerce

·        Use the correct Pcart (reference number)

·        Stick the Pcart (reference number) on the box after scanning it

·        Pick according to instructions on the handheld device managed by the warehouse management system

·        Scan the location to ensure correct location is being picked out

·        Scan the product code to ensure correct product is picked

·        Always ensure correct amount, as indicated by the handheld device, is picked

·        Always ensure FIFO principles are practiced (first in first out)

·        Always ensure no damaged or expired stock is picked

·        Ensure a new Pcart reference number is used when picking a new SO or TO

·        Once SO or TO is picked ensure box is scanned into Staging and physically placed at the packing table

·        Ensure one reference is used per SO or TO picked

·        Adhoc responsibilities:

o   Receive stock from the Main DC, Stores and from suppliers that deliver directly to the Ecommerce DC

o   Assist in Stock Management Process – Expiry checks and Stock counts

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
  
• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre, retail, logistics or stock environment
  
• Experience with picking, packing, stock handling or order fulfilment
  
• Basic computer literacy
  
• Ability to use a handheld scanner or learn a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  
• Ability to read and follow picking instructions accurately
  
• Good numerical and counting ability
  
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
  
• Ability to work with product codes, quantities and location references
  
• Ability to understand and apply FIFO principles
  
• Ability to identify damaged, expired or incorrect stock
  
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet daily picking targets
  
• Ability to work shifts, weekends or public holidays where required by the operation
  
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, bend and lift stock for extended periods
  
• Ability to safely lift and move boxes/stock in accordance with the Company's requirements
  
• Good communication and teamwork skills
  
• Reliable, punctual and consistent attendance
  
• Ability to follow company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements
  
• High level of accuracy, accountability and responsibility when handling stock
  

Advantageous Requirements

• Previous Ecommerce fulfilment experience
  
• Previous experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  
• Experience using RF scanners/handheld picking devices
  
• Experience picking Sales Orders (SO) and Transfer Orders (TO)
  
• Previous experience in a distribution centre or Ecommerce warehouse
  
• Experience with stock counts and stock reconciliation
  
• Experience conducting expiry-date checks
  
• Knowledge of warehouse health and safety practices
  
• Previous experience receiving stock from suppliers, stores or distribution centres
  
• Experience working with FMCG, health, wellness, pharmacy, food or retail products
  
• Forklift/pallet jack experience, where applicable to the role and legally authorised
