This role is based in Tumela Mine, Thabazimbi, South Africa and is full-time

The Planned Maintenance Administrator will be responsible to assist the Planned Maintenance Officer in the coordination, facilitation and management of the maintenance management programme for Mines and Plants by providing planning, control systems and maintenance of policies and strategies for the management of equipment whilst optimising the interface with other Mine and Plant systems and functions.

Roles and responsibilities include the below:

• Completes pre-start and daily maintenance checks on equipment and safety devices at each station before commencing work.
• Reports, repairs or replaces sub-standard components.
• Maintains equipment and accessories to required standards.
• Obtains shaft delivery schedule and takes crew to required station
• Signals clearance and controls arrival of cars
• Removes cars from material way to station area
• Ensures adherence to procedures for sensitive materials
• Receives and checks shaft schedules
• Monitors and records the delivery of material to the levels
• Encourages initiatives and delegates responsibility where appropriate
• Shares information with the team
• Provides technical mentorship and guidance

The role is at a C1 level reporting to the Planned Maintenance Officer.

• Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience

• 1 year experience in the Planned Maintenance office
• Experienced in using a computerized planned maintenance system

Knowledge and Skills

• Basic artisan training module
• Business Centered Maintenance training module
• Ability to plan and organize
• Working knowledge of client disciplines – Metallurgy, Mining, Engineering
• Ability to schedule and manage maintenance activities
• Code 8 driver’s license
• Valid Red Ticket
