The Bioforum Statistical Programming department is growing! We have a need for an experienced statistical programmer with a strong background and knowledge in SDTM, located in South Africa. This individual will lead the SDTM conversion requirements on projects using state-of-the-art AI-driven tools and processes to meet regulatory requirements.

Purpose: Works under the Director/Manager: Statistical Programming to provide lead statistical programming support and services with focus on SDTM conversion as part of the statistical programming requirements on clinical projects.

Required skills:

• B.Sc degree in Life / Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent.


• Minimum 6 years’ experience working as a Statistical Programmer, 5 years working on SDTM datasets, and 2 years’ experience as Statistical Programmer Lead.


• Demonstrated ability to lead a statistical programming team, communicate with stakeholders and execute delivery.


• In-depth knowledge of SDTM standards.


• Strong analytical and logical abilities.


• Excellent communication skills.

Duties will include:

• Leading SDTM programming teams to deliver on projects.


• Interact with the customer and provide guidance / input on the SDTM requirements and queries during the conduct of the trial.


• Oversee quality and validation requirements of SDTM delivery.


• Comply with CDISC SDTM standards.


• Create or review SDTM specifications.


• Contribute to department level initiatives to improve quality and efficiency.
