Private Equity Senior Analyst

Job Description - Private Equity Senior Analyst

Position Overview

As a Senior Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in
supporting our clients throughout the M&A lifecycle. You will work closely
with the investment teams across our private equity and corporate finance
advisory clients, doing similar work as if you were a senior team member
in-house at one of these firms.

We are looking for experienced individuals with strong
technical capabilities and hands-on deal experience, who are comfortable
stepping into complex client environments and taking ownership of deliverables
from the outset. You will be expected to operate largely independently,
managing client relationships, project execution and technical deliverables to
a high standard.

You will also lead a small team within Oceanrock, providing
direction and support to junior team members on your clients, and setting the
tone for quality, pace and collaboration. We are looking for talented and
motivated individuals with a passion for finance, a high-performance mindset
and a desire to contribute towards a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute
on live client mandates and run end-to-end client management, taking
ownership of technical deliverables, project management and the overall
    client experience.
  • Independently
manage complex workflows, balancing hands-on execution with client
communication, project timelines and competing priorities.
  • Lead
a small team of Oceanrock analysts executing across your portfolio,
providing technical oversight, reviewing deliverables and developing their
skills through ongoing coaching, feedback and performance management.
  • Support
business strategies and initiatives across key business functions.

Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Candidates
should have 4–5 years of experience in a client-facing role, with a
minimum of 2 years of hands-on deal experience in corporate finance,
    M&A or transaction advisory.

  • Candidates
should have completed a degree in finance.

In addition, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong
technical expertise and hands-on deal experience
    , including complex
financial modelling, valuations, financial analysis and preparation of
investor presentations (experience working on Capital IQ advantageous).

  • Ability
    to operate independently
, taking ownership of complex technical
deliverables and managing projects from start to finish with limited
    oversight.

  • Strong
    client and project management capabilities
, with a track record of
building and nurturing client relationships, managing expectations and
delivering high-quality work within demanding timelines.

  • Leadership
    and team management capabilities
, with the ability to oversee, mentor
and develop junior analysts while balancing their own execution and client
    responsibilities.

  • A
    high-performance mindset
, with a strong sense of ownership,
accountability and a commitment to delivering exceptional work. A desire
to contribute to and thrive in a high-performing culture that values
excellence, continuous improvement and a strong team environment.
