Job Description - Product Trainer - Reporting

ABOUT KURTOSYS:




Kurtosys is a financial technology company that enables asset managers to construct and distribute critical sales, marketing, and client reporting materials via document or digital formats (websites and portals). Founded in 2002, Kurtosys operates across four global offices. The Kurtosys team has a deep understanding of working at a global scale with data, information design, industry regulations, and compliance issues. We work with some of the world's largest financial brands, including banks, wealth managers, mutual fund providers, and alternative investments.   


 


THE OPPORTUNITY:




We are seeking a creative and innovative Reporting Product Trainer to join our Reporting Product Team. The purpose of the role is to design, produce, and maintain rich media training content for the Product Team's suite of digital products and services. The candidate should be skilled in creating written, visual, audio, and video training content and have experience delivering training programs to various audiences. The candidate must also be able to travel internationally to deliver training programs.


 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Curriculum Development: Develop courses and curriculum for all product training programs.

  • Collaboration: Define and prioritise training and content needs in collaboration with subject experts, such as product management, customer service, sales, and retention teams.

  • Needs Assessment: Analyse and identify training gaps, then create and implement innovative training programs that challenge traditional methods and provide a fresh approach to learning and development.

  • Content Creation: Design, create, and edit rich-media online learning materials, including product manuals, instructional videos, and quizzes.

  • Content Repository: Create and maintain a repository of Non-Regulated Product training content for use across the business and ensure that current and relevant content is in circulation.

  • Media Production: Prepare scripts and record and edit audio and video content.

  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of the product portfolio and competitive landscape to ensure that training and content materials are accurate, timely, and relevant.

  • Best Practices: Keep current on best practices in instructional design.

  • Training Delivery: Conduct engaging training sessions with key staff members to improve product knowledge and soft skills.

  • Coaching: Conduct individual coaching sessions with select staff members.

  • Evaluation: Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of training programs and content and adjust as necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 



  • At least three years of experience developing and delivering training and investment management documents such as factsheets, KIIDs, annual reports, etc. 

  • Familiarity with data structures (CSV, JSON, XML), web development concepts (HTML, CSS), and database technologies (SQL), with any configuration experience a bonus.

  • Passionate about upskilling and coaching people. 

  • Results-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and cope with multiple concurrent training activities. 

  • Ability to deal with complexity and migrate between detailed and high-level requirements. 

  • Self-starter who takes ownership and accountability and can work with minimal supervision. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Must be able to travel internationally.
