Production Manager Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in plastics manufacturing to lead production operations. The role is responsible for managing production teams, ensuring product quality, meeting delivery deadlines, and driving efficiency across the plant.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in injection moulding machine setting and optimisation.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven experience within a plastics manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; database and reporting experience beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Code 08 drivers licence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day production operations, including machine setting, scheduling, and staff management.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental requirements.

• Monitor production targets such as scrap rates, absenteeism, and cycle time performance.

• Lead problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

• Plan and coordinate raw material requirements and production scheduling.

• Review non-conforming products and implement corrective actions.

• Train, guide, and develop production staff.

• Produce and analyse production reports and KPI data.

• Act as second-in-command in the absence of the General Manager.
