Professional Nurse - Cardiothoracic Theatre Scrub

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

We have an exciting opportunity for a Professional Nurse Cardiothoracic Theatre at our new Mediclinic George facility.

This position allows you to join our specialist Cardiothoracic team at the newly built Mediclinic George hospital, equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

The role involves delivering safe, comprehensive, and quality nursing care in accordance with the Scope of Practice.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 

Post-graduate qualification experience within an Operating Theatre with Cardiothoracic 

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Degree / Diploma in General Nursing

DESIRED EDUCATION:  Midwifery; Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Operating Theatre

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team

Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety

Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment

Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions

Create a learning environment that builds staff competence

Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
