Project Engineer: Electrical

My client a leading international manufacturer of vehicle tyres is looking for a Project Engineer: Electrical at their Ladysmith manufacturing plant

The successful incumbent will be responsible for coordinating all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning and final buy-off phases as well as ensuring the project remained within budget in order to meet the requirements of the customers needs.

Responsible for multiple highly complex major projects requiring innovative original solutions where results are key to successful completion of major projects.

Educational Requirements

• Minimum tertiary education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Preferred tertiary education: Electrical Engineering Degree and/or Btech Degree Electrical Engineering Degree.

Required Work Experience

• 5 years experience in engineering project execution and management.
• Hands on Experience in electrical/Electronics installation of equipment.
• Experience in using MS Projects, MS Excel & MS Word.
• Experience in using ePlan-P8 or Autocad Electrical to design the control system.
• Reading & Understanding of electrical, control system, Pneumatic and Hydraulic drawings.
• Knowledge of managing the electrical & control system wiring & construction work.
• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley & Mitsubishi PLC/HMI/Drives
• Programming & networking protocols like Ethernet, CCLink, Controlnet.
• Experience in working as an installation and commissioning engineer in the manufacturing industry. Experience in Tyre industry will be an added advantage.
