Purpose:
Responsible for managing allocated Insure IT projects in
line with the PMO Governance Framework, ensuring projects are delivered using a
best-practice approach within agreed scope, time, cost and quality — while
enhancing the company's image through effective customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
PMO Management & Technical Expertise
Manage/execute projects per PMO strategy and process
framework
Secure stakeholder understanding and buy-in
Support the PMO Head in meeting departmental targets
Manage project submission/approval administration and
maintain a pipeline of approved projects
Work with BIOs, IT Ops, IT Quality, and delivery teams to
build evaluation systems at project level
Ensure compliance with Project Management Methodology and
Governance processes
Manage interdependencies with other project/programme
managers
Project Delivery
Create detailed project/implementation plans
Document and agree requirements
Attend Project Board/Steering Committee meetings
Participate in reviews, approvals, and gating processes
Ensure appropriate testing (system, regression, UAT) with
stakeholder sign-off
Reporting & Consolidation
Submit project performance data for internal reporting
Provide monthly/quarterly consolidated reports
Report on budget vs. actual, governance matters, risks,
progress, resourcing, and benefits
Maintain project plans, minutes, and status reports
Schedule regular feedback sessions
Relationship Management
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
Resolve conflicts with project teams/stakeholders
Risk, Governance & QA
Ensure risk management aligns with risk registers and
controls
Maintain audit-standard documentation
Record, monitor, and proactively manage
risks/issues/dependencies
Financials & Benefits Realisation
Monitor budgets against project plans with Hollard Insure
teams
Track benefits realisation vs. targets
Participate in post-project reviews and lessons-learnt
exercises
People & Customer Service
Own career growth/development
Maintain high service standards; treat all customers fairly
(TCF)
Matric
Formal PM qualification (Prince2, IPMA, PMP, or PMI-ACP)
B Comm – Information (or equivalent)
5–8 years' experience in mature PMO/business
management/business consulting
Insurance experience a bonus (FAIS, Short Term Insurance
knowledge)
Proven track record using PM tools (e.g. JIRA)
