Job Description - Public Relations Coordinator

This role is responsible for facilitating communication between Agri Technovation and external organisations. It is primarily administrative in nature, providing essential support to the PR and Communications department in the implementation and tracking of public relations, marketing, and communication strategies.



Key Responsibilities



Client Relations & Servicing:



  • Manage a high level of client engagement and communication.

  • Plan and prepare client visit itineraries.

  • Host clients at the Wellington office, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience.

  • Liaise closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of client needs.

  • Maintain detailed records of client visits and related expenses.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance client servicing.

  • Monitor client satisfaction and assist in resolving issues promptly.



Administrative & General Support:



  • Provide administrative support to the Head of PR & Communications in executing department initiatives.

  • Assist with basic technical design work using Adobe InDesign.

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of signage and vehicle branding.

  • Support the Events Manager with event logistics and requirements.

  • Manage internal approval workflows related to assigned tasks.

  • Coordinate the procurement and distribution of client gifts throughout the year.

  • Manage the inventory and distribution of client and employee merchandise.

  • Support cost-saving initiatives through effective use of the procurement system.

  • Perform other duties as required.



Skills & Competencies



  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and project management abilities.

  • Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.

  • Sound judgement and decisiveness, especially under time constraints.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe InDesign.

  • Full professional proficiency in Afrikaans and English (speaking and writing).



Minimum Requirements



  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field is advantageous.

  • Prior experience in a similar administrative, marketing, or PR role will be beneficial.
