Qualified Commercial Underwriter

Our client is currently looking for a driven individual with a strong background in commercial lines underwriting, ideally with experience with Body Corporates.

Job Description:

As a Commercial Underwriter, this role will be responsible for managing and processing all aspects of underwriting in line with the companys processes and compliance requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery, policy management, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, assess, and process instructions from clients, brokers, and stakeholders within agreed SLA timeframes.

• Issue policies in accordance with new business workflow procedures.

• Handle processing of quotes, new business, amendments, renewals, cancellations, and endorsements.

• Resolve client queries promptly and professionally.

• Ensure full compliance with internal and external underwriting guidelines, mandates, and regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to high client retention by delivering exceptional service.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation across all underwriting processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• 35 years of Commercial Lines Underwriting experience.

• RE5 Certification.

• NQF4 with relevant FAIS credits full qualification.

• Class of Business training Commercial Lines.

• Preferred system experience: TIAL.
