Kendrick Recruitment is currently recruiting for a luxury lodge based in Hoedspruit. Our client is seeking an experienced Reception Manager with strong front office and hospitality management skills, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Maintain a positive attitude and friendly demeanour
⢠Welcome guests on arrival and manage check\-outs
⢠Manage incoming calls and respond to all guest questions and requests
⢠Accept payments and perform other administrative duties
⢠Prioritise and manage tasks independently with good planning and organisational skills
⢠Be proactive, use initiative, and apply creative flair when required
⢠Oversee reception and front office operations, ensuring high standards are maintained
Requirements
⢠Minimum of 2 yearsâ experience in a similar role, preferably in a high\-end safari lodge or hotel
⢠Matric / Grade 12; Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality Management beneficial
⢠Excellent reception and front office control skills
⢠Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
⢠Strong understanding of lodge operations and attention to detail
⢠Strong verbal and written communication skills
⢠Computer literate (MS Office Suite, reservation systems, POS systems, financial systems)
⢠Strong financial acumen and knowledge of procedures
⢠Experience with stock control
⢠Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
