Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and passionate Regional Sommelier to join a prestigious private game reserve in the Sabi Sands. This role offers the opportunity to curate and oversee exceptional wine experiences across multiple lodges within the reserve, ensuring guests enjoy a world-class dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curate and manage wine lists for multiple properties within the reserve
  




• Source, select, and maintain wine stock to meet the highest quality standards
  




• Conduct wine tastings, pairings, and training sessions for staff and guests
  




• Work closely with chefs to develop exceptional food and wine pairing experiences
  




• Oversee wine storage, inventory control, and stock rotation procedures
  




• Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate purchasing agreements
  




• Keep up-to-date with wine trends, regions, and industry developments
  

Requirements:

• Recognised sommelier qualification or equivalent experience
  




• Proven experience as a sommelier, ideally in a luxury lodge or fine-dining environment
  




• Extensive knowledge of international and South African wines
  




• Excellent communication and presentation skills
  




• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  




• Ability to train and inspire team members to deliver exceptional service
