Mission For This Role:
The Assistant Property Manager role is critical to our overall mission and vision. We strive to be the property management company of choice by raising the bar of standards and providing quality services to clients and residents in the communities we serve. The Assistant Property Manager ensures the highest quality of service is always provided. You will interact with all departments, and are expected to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Navigate AppFolio to research property histories, track financial data (e.g., maintenance spend, tax bill due dates), and resolve property-level inquiries behind the scenes.
Investigate the root cause of operational and property issues to provide complete, accurate answers rather than passing raw information along.
Execute day-to-day administrative tasks, manage internal property files, and support special operational projects to keep workflows organized.
Draft clear, professional, and accurate email responses to address client and external party inquiries directly and promptly.
Pull and summarize complex property and account records into easy-to-read, professional email updates.
Partner with internal teams and property managers to gather required facts, tracking issues through to full back-end resolution.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong knowledge of computer programs – Excel, Work, Gmail communication platform
Experience in US property management (ideally in our South Side Chicago market)
Strong experience with AppFolio (required)
Experience working directly with clients facing
Strong experience in reporting and administrative tasks.

Objectives For the Role:
Within the first 3 months, it will be expected that you have been trained on our systems and processes
Respond to all owner communication in a timely manner
Gather information from other internal staff accordingly
Within the first 6 months, you should be proficient in routine communication with minimal supervision.
Within the first 6 months, you will be able to execute onboarding and offboarding of new clients, as well as other important protocols with minimal supervision
