ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a catering and hospitality business that has grown from an annual turnover of £200,000 to £1.2 million over the past 12 years. The business currently has 5 employees, with plans to grow to 50 employees.
In addition to the primary catering and hospitality business, the owners manage a smaller self-drive hire business with an annual turnover of £120,000.
THE ROLE: BOOKKEEPER & ADMIN
The Bookkeeper & Admin will be responsible for financial management and essential administrative functions, reporting directly to the business owners.
The role covers management accounts, Profit & Loss reporting, profit margin analysis on catering jobs and minor bookkeeping oversight for the secondary business. It also includes customer-facing administration, responding to incoming leads, preparing quotations, supporting event-related operations and assisting with payroll administration.
Day-to-day communication is managed through active WhatsApp groups, including chef and team chats.

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM UK time, including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
LEAVE STRUCTURE
Total annual leave is 28 days, including 8 UK bank holidays.
Local South African holidays are stated as 15 statutory days plus 12 public holidays and will be managed by aligning UK holidays with 5 additional requested days to reach 20 annual leave days.
IT SETUP & SUPPORT
Hardware will be provided via an online click store, including a laptop, phone and second screen.
In-house IT support will configure the laptop 3–5 days prior to the start date. Daily calls will use the “Be Online” platform.
PROBATION
The role has a 3-month probationary period, with weekly senior team review meetings.
INCENTIVES
Potential financial performance incentives will be discussed in relation to helping reduce operational overhead costs.
