We’re looking for a skilled, self-motivated, and ambitious Digital Specialist to join our Digital Services team. This role blends technical expertise with strategic problem-solving to deliver impactful solutions for our clients.

As part of the team, you'll leverage your strong programming skills—including JavaScript, PHP, HTML5, and CSS—to shape and enhance the way our clients interact with their customers in the digital space. You'll act as the key architect in translating complex business challenges into scalable and innovative digital solutions, using the power of our data and content publication platform.

Note: This position requires working US hours: 08:00 – 16:00 PST (17:00 – 02:00 or 16:00 – 01:00 SAST, depending on Daylight Savings).

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

·         Utilise our platform’s built-in functionality (WordPress, Elementor, widgets, and custom DXM features) to craft                  robust, scalable digital solutions with a focus on front-end scripting.

·         Identify and resolve complex digital issues by investigating the root causes and ensuring that the solution is                      sustainable and effective.

·         Assist with integrating Kurtosys applications into client websites, ensuring that complex client requirements and              business rules are met with precision.

·         Gain a deep understanding of how HTML, CSS, JavaScript, API calls, and other web technologies work together to          retrieve and present data seamlessly on a web page.

·         Work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, systems, and processes to address business requirements and              provide creative solutions.

·         Craft well-organised, concise documentation that captures client needs, technical specifications, and solution                  details for internal and future reference.

·         Stay ahead of industry trends, embrace new technologies, and continuously upskill to deliver cutting-edge                        solutions.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

·         Extensive experience in building, customising, and optimising WordPress websites using Elementor.

·         Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, with a basic understanding of PHP and SQL for server-side                     integrations.

·         Proven track record of troubleshooting and improving website performance, usability, and functionality.

·         Solid understanding of client-server architecture and how it impacts web development and performance.

·         Hands-on experience interacting with RESTful APIs and managing data formats.

·         Basic knowledge of UX/UI principles to ensure user-friendly and visually appealing digital solutions.

·         Understanding of SEO best practices, web traffic metrics, and optimisation techniques.

·         Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices to ensure inclusive web experiences.

Skills & Abilities:

·         A forward-thinking approach to ensure long-term stability of solutions, addressing potential edge cases and                     scalability issues.

·         Capable of managing multiple projects and tasks effectively, tracking and reporting time using relevant software.

·         Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts in                 simple terms, building strong relationships with clients and team members.

·         Skilled at identifying problems quickly and proposing viable, effective solutions.

·         Ability to understand and leverage Kurtosys’ custom CMS functionalities to enhance existing implementations.

·         A solid understanding of the WordPress backend, including theme and plugin development.

·         Driven to keep learning and growing in your field, adapting to new technologies and trends to stay ahead of the                 curve.

·         Strong ability to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines, and challenging situations with composure.
