Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Financial Manager CA(SA) to oversee and lead our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, sound technical accounting knowledge, and a keen understanding of property management operations. This role requires strategic oversight of financial systems, processes, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the organisation.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA)
• Minimum of 35 years post-articles experience in a financial management or senior accounting role
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance
• Exceptional communication and analytical skills
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• South African citizen or holder of valid South African work permit

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of accountants and bookkeepers, providing guidance, training, and performance management
• Oversee the preparation and review of management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting
• Implement and maintain effective financial controls, systems, and processes
• Manage cash flow, balance sheets, and profitability analysis across client portfolios
• Review and authorise reconciliations, journals, and key financial entries
• Liaise with auditors, clients, and external stakeholders on financial matters
• Contribute to strategic decision-making and business planning
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, and company policies
• Provide financial insights and operational support to the property management division

Advantages (Not Essential)

• Experience within the property management or real estate industry
• Working knowledge of property management software such as MRI or MDA

Remuneration

• Market-related salary between R50,000 R65,000 neg  per month, pending on qualifications and experience
