Job Description - Headhunter/ Recruitment Consultant - German or French Speaking (Banking)

Job Overview

We are seeking a driven and experienced Recruitment Consultant fluent in German or French, with a background in banking or financial services recruitment, to join a respected UK-based executive search firm. Specialising in the private banking sector, you’ll be responsible for sourcing and delivering top-tier candidates across the DACH or Francophone regions. This remote opportunity is ideal for a South Africa-based professional looking to work with a global team and have a strategic impact within a highly specialised market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and screen 12–16 senior private bankers (VP level and above) per month for active mandates.
  • Identify and add 6–8 German or French-speaking candidates per month to the CRM, with verified language fluency and assets under management (AUM).
  • Conduct 10–15 structured candidate interviews monthly while maintaining a candidate satisfaction score of ≥85%.
  • Ensure a candidate outreach response rate of ≥40% via LinkedIn, email, and phone communication.
  • Deliver 2–3 market maps per quarter and 1–2 intelligence reports per month on hiring trends and competitor movements.
  • Contribute at least 70% of shortlisted candidates per mandate, ensuring submission within 10 business days.
  • Support 1–2 cross-border placements quarterly across DACH or Francophone regions.
  • Maintain CRM data integrity, achieving ≥95% profile accuracy and weekly candidate updates.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Fluency in German or French (written and spoken) is essential.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in recruitment within banking or financial services, ideally private banking or wealth management.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and headhunting senior professionals.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and upholding data standards.
  • Access to a reliable internet connection and a fully functional laptop.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a remote setup.
