Job Description - Healthcare Compliance Manager

Job Title: Healthcare Compliance Manager

Location: South Africa

Job Type: Full-Time, Remote

Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)

Salary: South African Rand (ZAR)

A detail-oriented and proactive Healthcare Compliance Manager is sought to oversee compliance operations and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, company policies, and industry standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring compliance processes, maintaining regulatory documentation, supporting audits, and assisting with policy implementation and risk management initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience working within healthcare compliance environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee healthcare compliance processes and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor adherence to healthcare laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Maintain compliance records, documentation, and reporting systems
  • Assist with internal audits, investigations, and compliance reviews
  • Develop and update compliance procedures, policies, and training materials
  • Coordinate compliance-related communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Identify compliance risks and support corrective action initiatives
  • Support HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
  • Track regulatory updates and ensure operational compliance with industry requirements
  • Prepare reports and assist leadership with compliance monitoring and operational improvements
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) highly preferred
  • Previous experience in healthcare compliance, healthcare administration, risk management, or regulatory operations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations and HIPAA requirements
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience with compliance reporting, audits, and documentation management preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting systems preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
  • Reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup
  • Experience working with US healthcare systems and regulations is an advantage
