About the Company
Our client is a premier manufacturer and online distributor of high-quality, commercial-grade party and event equipment (such as commercial tents, inflatables, and event furniture). Operating under a high-volume B2B and B2C model, the company sells directly to event rental businesses and end consumers globally.
As the executive leadership transitions to a new growth phase, the company is seeking a Marketing Growth Director to systematically evaluate their current marketing organization, optimize performance, and build a modern, high-performing growth engine.
Role Overview
The Marketing Growth Director is a high-impact, fractional leadership role designed for a strategic powerhouse who isn't afraid to remain hands-on. Rather than simply maintaining existing campaigns, you will audit the entire marketing department from top to bottom—evaluating personnel, processes, tech stacks, and agencies—to identify inefficiencies and uncover major revenue opportunities.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven growth marketer who thrives on building marketing functions from the ground up, reducing wasted spend, and establishing scalable customer acquisition systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy & Department Evolution
- Department Audit: Evaluate the existing marketing structure, internal workflows, personnel, and agency partnerships to recommend structural adjustments or staffing changes.
- Scalable Systems: Build a predictable, forward-thinking marketing function capable of supporting aggressive B2B/B2C e-commerce expansion.
- Leadership & Influence: Serve as the core marketing strategist, collaborating closely with the CEO and Chief Operating Officer to align marketing efforts directly with overarching business revenue goals.
2. Growth & Digital Marketing Execution
- Performance Optimization: Directly oversee and optimize multi-channel digital strategies, specifically spanning Paid Search (Google Ads/AdWords), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and organic distribution channels.
- Spend Efficiency: Meticulously analyze campaign performance and ROI to optimize budget allocation, focusing heavily on reducing wasted ad spend while increasing lead quality.
- Lifecycle & Automation: Develop and scale automated customer acquisition, segmentation, and retention campaigns tailored to distinct B2B and B2C audiences.
3. Marketing Technology Management
- Stack Optimization: Oversee, audit, and improve the company's core marketing tech stack to maximize workflow automation and data tracking.
- Lifecycle Execution: Leverage historical and current platforms to execute data-driven audience segmentation and automated lifecycle campaigns.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Strict Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of high-quality, proven experience in digital marketing, growth marketing, or marketing leadership roles. Depth of hands-on impact is heavily prioritized over total years on task.
- Core Technical Expertise: Deep, practical expertise in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEO/SEM methodology, and multi-channel paid acquisition.
- The Strategic/Hands-On Balance: Proven capability to design high-level, organizational growth strategies while remaining willing and able to execute hands-on campaign optimizations.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to clearly present strategic data, lead internal team syncs, and align cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Strong Pluses)
- The Tech Stack Holy Grail: Direct experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Klaviyo (ideally having managed or worked through a platform migration).
- Industry Background: Previous experience working within high-volume e-commerce, commercial products, manufacturing, or B2B digital distribution.
- Platform Familiarity: Exposure to or familiarity with Adobe Commerce (Magento Enterprise) or open-source ERP systems (such as Odoo).
Success Metrics
- Successful structural evaluation and strategic re-alignment of the marketing department.
- Measurable reduction in customer acquisition cost (CAC) and optimized ROI across paid channels.
- Successful implementation of lifecycle workflows and customer segmentation within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Establishment of predictable, transparent data-reporting systems for executive leadership.
