Our client operates a UK solar sales campaign focused on engaging UK homeowners who have already been identified as warm and pre-qualified leads.

The campaign focuses on qualifying prospective customers and securing appointments for UK-based sales advisers.

THE ROLE: OUTBOUND TELEPHONE APPOINTMENT SETTER – SOLAR SALES

The Outbound Telephone Appointment Setter will contact warm and pre-qualified UK homeowner leads and book qualified appointments for UK-based sales advisers.

This is a booking-focused role only. You will not be responsible for selling solar products or closing deals. Your focus will be on engaging homeowners, establishing whether they meet the basic criteria, handling initial objections and securing qualified appointments.

The role reports to the Campaign Team Leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Make outbound calls to warm and pre-qualified UK homeowner leads within the required SLA.


• Follow the agreed calling process and scripts while maintaining a natural and professional conversation.


• Qualify leads against basic criteria, including homeowner status, property suitability and approximate energy bill spend.


• Build rapport quickly and engage homeowners effectively over the phone.


• Handle and overcome common objections to secure appointments where appropriate.


• Accurately book qualified appointments into the sales advisers’ diaries.


• Ensure all appointment details are accurate and customers understand the purpose of the appointment.


• Record call outcomes, customer information and appointment details accurately in the CRM.


• Follow up with leads where required in line with the campaign process.


• Consistently work towards and achieve daily and weekly appointment-setting targets.


• Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service on every call.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience in outbound telesales, appointment setting or a similar telephone-based role.


• Track record in appointment setting and achieving targets.


• Experience in the industry.


• Fluent spoken English with a clear, neutral accent.


• Confident and professional telephone manner.


• Strong communication and listening skills.


• Comfortable speaking to UK homeowners and handling objections.


• Ability to qualify leads effectively and identify suitable appointments.


• Experience using CRM systems and diary or appointment-booking systems.


• Strong attention to detail when recording customer and appointment information.


• Resilient and comfortable dealing with rejection and high call volumes.


• Target-driven with the ability to consistently meet daily and weekly KPIs.


• Available to work UK working hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm.


• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote or call centre environment.
