As a franchise driven by operational excellence and local leadership, we’re looking to hire a Procurement Supervisor to streamline purchasing, optimize vendor performance, and ensure timely material availability for our residential and commercial fencing projects.

Position Summary

The Procurement Supervisor will oversee all purchasing functions for fencing materials, hardware, and supplies across multiple crews and territories. This includes demand forecasting, vendor negotiation, inventory control, material scheduling, and cost containment. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our job sites are fully prepared with the right materials—on time and at the right cost—while supporting our vision for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers for vinyl, wood, aluminum, and chain link fencing materials

- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery terms to optimize cost and service

- Identify alternate sources of supply for critical items and proactively mitigate risk of stockouts or delays

Purchasing & Order Management

- Create and manage purchase orders based on production schedule and backlog reports

- Monitor material usage and adjust reordering to align with project pipeline

- Coordinate directly with the install and scheduling teams to align deliveries with job start dates

Inventory Control & Logistics

- Manage inventory levels across yard, warehouse, and trucks using SOS Inventory

- Implement FIFO practices and flag aged or slow-moving inventory

- Oversee receipt, inspection, and staging of inbound materials; ensure delivery accuracy

Cost Management & Reporting

- Track material costs and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality

- Collaborate with Sales and Estimating to ensure BOM alignment and pricing accuracy

- Provide weekly reporting on procurement KPIs, including cost variances, lead times, and fill rates

Qualifications

- 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in a construction or fencing industry 

- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

- Familiarity with inventory systems (e.g., SOS Inventory or similar ERP)

- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

- Experience sourcing fencing materials or working in fence/landscape/hardscape supply

- Familiarity with job costing and construction billing cycles

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and material takeoffs
