We’re looking for a Senior Paid Ads Strategist who can lead strategy, client communication, and performance across Meta and other paid social channels. This isn’t a siloed “build ads and move on” role. You’ll dig into client business models, understand how their data flows back into the platforms, and translate messy real-world funnels into clean, scalable paid social strategies.
If you’re tired of old-school agency structures and want to operate like a true partner — not a button pusher — this will be a strong fit. South Africa-based candidates preferred, but all exceptional talent will be considered.

What You’ll Work On
Strategy and Planning
Build paid social strategies that tie directly to client goals, sales cycles, and revenue drivers
Translate business needs into platform-ready structures, not just isolated campaigns
Work with clients who have complex funnels: multi-step lead gen, offline activity, long sales cycles, and CRM-connected signals
Help shape creative direction by connecting angles, hooks, and message-market fit to strategic goals
Platform Execution and Optimization
Manage campaigns end-to-end across Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok
Diagnose performance issues quickly using both platform data and real-world context
Run ongoing testing frameworks across creative, funnels, and audiences
Pace budgets and optimize toward signal quality, not surface-level metrics
Signal Architecture and Tracking Literacy
You don’t need to be an engineer — but you need to understand how the data powers the machine.
Work with client teams to improve signal quality and event coverage
Understand how machine learning uses signals so you can build better optimization paths
Client Leadership
Lead calls with clarity and confidence — even when performance is complex
Present findings, recommendations, and next steps in a way clients can actually use
Manage expectations, explain tradeoffs, and guide decision-making
Keep communication crisp, proactive, and grounded in strategy
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with creative teams, analysts, and tracking partners
Bring together platform data, offline data, and CRM outputs to create a full performance picture
Help refine internal processes and contribute to improving the agency’s playbooks
What You Bring
3 to 5+ years of paid social experience with direct strategy ownership
Strong Meta Ads expertise; LinkedIn and TikTok experience a plus
Experience working with complex funnels beyond e-commerce
Ability to scale budgets responsibly (100K+ monthly is helpful but not required)
Strong analytical instincts and the ability to diagnose performance quickly
Comfort working directly with clients and leading conversations
Strong communication skills with a clear, structured storytelling style
Ability to operate with high ownership in a fast-moving environment
Curiosity around AI tools and faster optimization methods
Nice to Have
Previous experience in a smaller or boutique agency environment
Exposure to attribution conversations, multi-touch funnels, and offline conversion flows
Experience building or influencing creative strategy
South Africa-based and available for strong overlap with US time zones
