Senior Sales Development Representative

Salary: R45 000 to R55 000 per month

A UK sales agency is hiring a senior outbound SDR, fully remote from South Africa, at R45 000 to R55 000 a month, calling senior decision-makers in New Zealand and Australia.

This is a phone-first seat and we are being straight about it up front. You will run around 150 outbound calls a day into the New Zealand and Australian markets, booking meetings with CFOs, Financial Controllers, Managing Directors and CTOs. The hours are 04:00 to 13:00 South African time, Monday to Friday, shifting by an hour when New Zealand daylight saving changes. If that does not work for your life, this is not the role, and we would rather you knew now.

Remote Recruitment is hiring on behalf of an outsourced sales development house that sells B2B software for its clients, so the product changes every few campaigns. Recent ones include accounting document management software and FX and treasury modelling tools. You will be expected to pick up a new product and be calling about it credibly within days, using your own research rather than waiting for a training programme.

Key responsibilities

• Run high-volume outbound cold calls into New Zealand and Australia, around 150 dials a day

• Book qualified meetings with senior finance and technology decision-makers

• Research and build your own call lists and openers for each campaign

• Get yourself up to speed on a new software product quickly and independently

• Keep the CRM accurate and your pipeline visible

What you will need

• Four or more years of phone-first B2B outbound, and a daily dial number you can actually state

• Experience selling software or SaaS

• Cold calling senior decision-makers, not gatekeepers

• Evidence you can learn a technical product in days and get on the phone about it

• Fibre and backup power, a working camera and a quiet room, and the ability to work 04:00 to 13:00 SAST

• Sold into Australia or New Zealand

• Worked inside an outsourced SDR or sales agency

• Experience with accounting, FX or finance software

R45 000 to R55 000 per month, full-time contract, 100% remote from anywhere in South Africa, with a business that is building a team and hiring one person a month. This is a demanding, fast, high-volume desk. It pays accordingly.
