Reporting Product Analyst

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Reporting Product Analyst to join our dynamic Reporting Product team. As a key member of this team, you will work closely with the Senior Reporting Product Manager and Product Manager to support the development and enhancement of our reporting products. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for data to contribute to the success of our reporting solutions. You will be a vital link between our customers, development, and product teams, ensuring our reporting products meet evolving business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

• Assist in gathering and documenting detailed product requirements from stakeholders and clients.


• Analyse data and user feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement.


• Conduct competitive analysis to understand market trends and best practices in reporting.

Product Support & Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the Senior Reporting Product Manager and Product Manager to define product roadmaps and prioritize features.


• Support the development and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT).


• Provide product support and training to internal teams and clients, working closely with the product trainer.


• Assist in the creation of product documentation and training materials.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyse product usage data to identify trends and patterns.


• Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).


• Assist in the creation of data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.

Agile Methodology:

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.


• Contribute to the backlog grooming process.


• Support the team in delivering product increments within sprint timelines.

Communication & Collaboration:

• Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and sales.


• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.


• Act as a liaison between the product team and other departments.

Required Skills:

• Asset Management Awareness: An understanding of the asset management industry, including key players, market trends, and regulatory landscape. Ability to learn quickly and apply this knowledge to reporting product development.


• Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.


• Analytical Skills & Requirements Support: Strong analytical skills and ability to assist in gathering, documenting, and prioritising requirements. Familiarity with requirements management in Jira.


• Product Support & Design Assistance: Ability to support product discovery and design activities, including assisting with user research and prototyping. Familiarity with wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) is a plus.


• Agile Methodology Understanding: Basic understanding of Agile principles and practices. Ability to participate in Agile ceremonies.


• Data Analysis & Reporting Support: Ability to assist in data analysis and reporting activities, including tracking KPIs and generating reports.


• Technical Familiarity: Familiarity with software development methodologies and technologies relevant to web applications and data visualization tools. Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.


• MS Office Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).


• Adobe InDesign Proficiency: Proven experience with Adobe InDesign for creating professional-quality reports, documentation, and presentations.
