About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Reservations Manager to lead the Reservations Department of a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for luxury hospitality and a proven track record in managing reservations for high-end properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the reservations process, ensuring a seamless guest experience from inquiry to confirmation.
• Lead and manage the reservations team with a focus on coaching, training, and motivation.
• Maximise room revenue through strategic inventory control and collaboration with the Lodge Sales Manager and external partners.
• Ensure accurate data management, reporting, and maintenance of Portal Air systems.
• Deliver consistently high guest service standards with personalised communication and attention to detail.
• Handle VIP bookings, special requests, and guest concerns with discretion and professionalism.
• Manage all reservation-related communication channels including emails, phone calls, and messaging platforms.
• Collaborate closely with all Heads of Departments to ensure alignment and operational excellence.
• Participate in departmental meetings, compile reports, and provide strategic feedback as needed.

• Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality or related field.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Reservations Manager, preferably in a 5-star/luxury environment.
• Proven leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
• Sound knowledge of revenue management strategies and systems.
• Proficiency in Protel Air or equivalent hotel booking systems.
• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a high-end, fast-paced setting.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Flexibility to work during public holidays and weekends as required.
