We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Resident Engagement Assistant to join our team. This role is responsible for engaging with residents, supporting administrative processes, gathering information and ensuring effective communication between residents and internal departments.
The Role
The Resident Engagement Assistant will support resident engagement activities through communication, information gathering, record maintenance and administrative coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for following up with residents, maintaining accurate records and ensuring residents receive and understand important documentation and procedures.
This role requires strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while working in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Send questionnaires and relevant documentation to leaseholders and residents via email
Record and maintain resident responses accurately within spreadsheets and internal systems
Track discrepancies update resident records and communicate relevant changes to appropriate departments
Follow up with residents via telephone and email where responses are outstanding
Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and communications
Carry out Person Centred Fire Risk Assessments for vulnerable residents
Distribute amended and relevant documentation to residents as required
Ensure residents have received understood relevant documents and procedures
Utilise internal systems to monitor progress and maintain accurate records
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to engage professionally and empathetically with residents
Excellent organisational skills strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently prioritise workload effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint
Ability to work independently manage responsibilities effectively within a remote or hybrid working environment|

Benefits
Salary: R15,000 - R17,000 per month
Working Hours: 09:00 - 18:00 South African time Monday to Friday including a 60 minute lunch break
15 days annual leave plus all South African public holidays
Hybrid role based in Stellenbosch with occasional office attendance and company social events
A stable internet connection is essential particularly during load shedding. This position supports Urang Property Management commitment to Employment Equity. In accordance with the Employment Equity Act preference will be given to suitably qualified South African citizens from designated groups. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in South Africa. The company reserves the right not to make an appointment.
